about

The first band I ever saw live was the Dave Brubeck Quartet when I was thirteen. It was also the first LP I bought. But although I've always loved jazz... especially piano jazz, my musical journey has led me through rhythm and blues, musical comedy, pub duos, a Deep Purple tribute band, a covers band with Ken Follett and Floella Benjamin and to performing my own songs in acoustic venues. So here we are back with one of my first loves, an album that, if it isn't actual jazz, is a bit like jazz.

Roger brings to his songs thoughtful lyrics, good melodies and more than a dash of humour.
